Summary

Duplicate products may need to be assigned to a custom shipping profile to be consistent with the shipping settings of the parent product.



1. New products—including duplicate products—are assigned to the general shipping profile on Shopify by default. Any custom shipping profile originally used by a parent product will not be inherited by its duplicate product.


2. If the duplicate product needs to be included in the custom shipping profile of the parent then it must be added manually to that profile on Shopify.
