The Facebook pixel is an analytics tool that helps you measure the effectiveness of your advertising. You can use the Facebook pixel to understand the actions people are taking on your website and reach audiences you care about. Visit business.facebook.com to begin setup.
Setting up a Business Manager Account is a great way to manage your brand’s Facebook Page and Facebook advertising campaigns. You can use an existing personal Facebook account or create something new just for your business. If you already have a Facebook account that controls an existing Facebook page for your business, then we recommend simply using this account for convenience and uniformity.
After completing basic account setup you will be redirected to the Business Manager Setup Guide. Your first priority here is to create your Facebook Pixel. From the Business Manager menu (top left), select Assets>Pixels. Create your Pixel and copy the Pixel ID.
Paste the Pixel ID on the appropriate dialogue box on Shopify> Settings>Facebook Pixel.
Test your pixel on your Business Manager account after adding it to Shopify to confirm everything was done properly.
Connect Facebook Pages and Instagram
Now would also be a good time to link your businesses’ Facebook Page and Instagram account to Business Manager. To do so, click the menu on the top left, go to Settings>Business Manager Settings.
View the sidebar menu on the left side to find the icons for Pages and Instagram Accounts and claim these assets now.
